• Facebook found to be the social media site relied on most for new life science product information

• Company websites and information from colleagues remain the most important resource when purchasing from life science suppliers
• Technical comparisons with competitive products are most helpful when evaluating life science products
• Only 39% of life scientists involve suppliers when the need for a product or service is being determined
• Brand may account for 25% of customer loyalty when buying life science products
